Young graduate Program

The Young Graduate Program is designed for non- engineering graduates seeking careers in the IT industry. This is a fully residential program and is currently offered at our Hyderabad campus. It is built to make your career future-proof and provide you with financial independence. The program includes customized training with personalized workbooks and industry-approved certifications. YGP leads to role relevant skill development and assured jobs in two career paths – Infrastructure Management and Software Testing.

Training Content: 
YGP prepares graduate students to be role-ready for the IT industry by developing and strengthening their technical competencies as well as communication and professional skills.

Technical

The YGP scholar will receive training and mentoring at the foundation, core, specialization and super-specialization levels for the appropriate technology track. The program is designed to strengthen your basic industry-required technical skills through hands-on application. We then build your core capabilities through a combination of theory, practice school sessions and on-job training. The program includes industry-relevant certifications for each track. 

Communication

We use globally-validated tools and content to help you improve your English language and communication skills. These are mapped to the Common European Framework Reference (CEFR). Our approach is designed to help you understand the main ideas of complex text and technical discussions. By enhancing your verbal communication skills, you will learn to express and explain your point of view, and interact fluently and confidently with peers and mentors in real-life, work-related situations.

Professional

You will be trained to effectively use production suites like MS Office. You will also develop the necessary skills to gauge and understand behavioural and interpersonal dynamics such as team-building and gender-related sensitivities. YGP will help you learn to express your ideas persuasively, participate confidently in group discussions and engage professionally with your peers. Additionally, the program will focus on personal grooming, business etiquette and customer service orientation.

INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES

The smooth functioning of any IT environment is largely dependent on its infrastructure. Infrastructure Management Service professionals have to provide high-quality technical support through rigorous analysis and documentation of the problem. They are expected to show keen attention to detail.

Skills you will develop through Infrastructure Services stream include:

  • Windows Client and Server Management
  • Unix Server Management
  • Network Management

Infrastructure Services professionals have to provide high quality technical support through rigorous analysis and documentation of the problem. This is a critical component of the IT function and requires persistence, attention to details, analytical reasoning, problem solving skills and high-level logical ability. HCL TalentCare’s Infrastructure Management Services program is designed to build these skills while exposing the graduate to state-of-the-art tools, techniques and developments.

Foundation

This module covers the basic hardware and networking concepts. It maximizes the graduate's understanding of technology, operations and services in the infrastructure management industry.

Core

The fundamentals of Windows and UNIX server management are covered in this module. These include the basics of installing, configuring and managing Windows and UNIX server

Specialization

Specialization in this module covers the different types of tickets, the terminology and stages of a ticket, ITIL Framework, processes and functions of ITIL.

Super-specialization

This module uses HCL TalentCare’s proprietary methodology that enables graduates to be completely role-ready. Super-specialization is also defined by the specific requirements of the clients where the graduate would finally be deployed.

Practice School

This module integrates conceptual learning with practical application by helping the graduates systematically build solutions in scenario-based cases or simulated environments. In our practice school, a Service Desk executive would find solutions to the reported problems through rigorous analysis and documentation.

On-job Training

Before actual deployment, a graduate goes through a structured and closely-mentored internship with potential clients. This on-job training module ensures that YGP scholars acquire first-hand experience and exposure to an infrastructure service and management organization, and get the feel of working in a real team with well-defined expectations and deliverables.

Eligibility

  • B.Sc (CS, IT, Electronics, Maths, Physics, Statistics) and BCA graduates 
  • Minimum 60% in Std X and XII and graduation
  • No back papers
  • 2016 Graduates only

TESTING SERVICES

A Testing Services Executive requires skills that involve creative problem-solving and a high level of persistence. The HCL TalentCare Testing program is designed to hone all these skills and expose you to state-of-the-art tools, techniques and developments in testing.

  • Software Testing Life Cycle and Levels of Testing
  • Usability Testing and Evaluation

A Testing Executive ensures that software is effective and efficient. Testing is a critical component of the IT function and requires creative problem-solving skills, attention to detail and high levels of persistence. The HCL TalentCare’s Testing program is designed to build these skills and expose the graduate to state of-the-art testing tools and techniques.

Foundation

This module introduces the graduate to software development and testing. It maximizes his understanding of technology, operations and services in the software industry.

Core

The module introduces generic concepts of testing including STLC, types and levels of testing, techniques for developing test cases and defect logging that form the core skills of a tester.

Specialization

This module covers test automation, test automation tools and generating test scripts for automating the testing process. The module ends with mini projects involving practical case studies and simulations.

Super-specialization

This module uses HCL TalentCare’s proprietary methodology that enables graduates to be completely role-ready. Super-specialization is also defined by the specific requirements of the clients where the graduate would finally be deployed.

Practice School

This module integrates conceptual learning with practical application by helping the graduates systematically build solutions in a relevant case which may be scenario-based or simulated environment. A Test Executive would go from building simple test structures to evolved multi-function, multi-context test cases.

On-job Training

Before actual deployment, a graduate goes through a structured and closely-mentored internship with potential clients. This on-job training module ensures that YGP scholars acquire first-hand experience and exposure to an infrastructure service and management organization, and get the feel of working in a real team with well-defined expectations and deliverables.

  • B.Sc (All Streams) and BCA graduates
  • Minimum 50% in Std X and XII and graduation
  • No back papers
  • 2014 & 2015 Graduates
